Cascadia Consulting Group is a 100% women-owned consulting firm specializing in environmental and sustainability solutions. Our mission is to inspire and empower communities everywhere to protect and restore our world. We work with states, cities, counties, agencies, and tribes to develop climate action plans, renewable energy plans, and climate adaptation plans based on robust vulnerability assessments, greenhouse gas inventories, tailored analyses, and inclusive stakeholder engagement.

Mayor's Climate Protection Committee

The Mayor’s Climate Protection Commission is a special commission convened by the Edmonds Mayor in 2006 and continued by each Mayor since then. The Climate Protection Committee (CPC) wrote the previous iteration of the Edmonds CAP in 2010. As community members appointed by the Mayor, the CPC meets monthly to address the impacts of climate change on the City.


Its mission is to:

  • Encourage citizens to be a part of the solution

  • Encourage City staff and citizens to conserve current resources

  • Work with the City Council to implement ideas

  • Effectively address the future impacts of climate change
